Growing up as a Pennsylvania native, we would frequent alot of beaches within the area of the mid Atlantic, Maryland being the home of crabs is also a hidden gem for some waves.

Ocean city is where i bought my first surfboard, I learned in Florida age 12, at Cocoa beach, but didnt get to buy a board til 2004. I was so proud and grateful to have a board to ride the waves. Ocean city is a great place to surf if you are a beginner, great for longboards and foam boards. Best spot is on 8th street access on the boardwalk. Spring is 3/4 wetsuit season but mid summer you can trunk it or just a bikini. You can usually find me riding my 6’6″ foamy and snacking on some thrashers fries.

During Hurricane season we hit the swells of Assateague Island. Definitely need a wetsuit 3/2 suit in September to October. Swells can get to 6ft depending on season, always always check the surf cams and take a buddy.
